When we think of the BEST EXAMPLE given of a righteous life it is seen in the person of our Lord Jesus Christ!
This life had many afflictions, and after death has the ability to draw many to him by his Fathers will. “And this is the will of him that sent me,that every one which seeth the Son,and believeth on him,may have everlasting life:and I will raise him at the last day.No man can come to me,except the Father which hath sent me draw him:and I will raise him up at the last day”.(John 6:40,44).
When we are faced with a challenge in our life it is our strong Faith that carries us through, just as Jesus called on his Father we call upon the Son. “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved”.(Acts 2:21).
God allows afflictions to prove us(Test)and see if our hearts are set on him as he did with the children of Israel who were brought into the wilderness for forty years. “And thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness,to humble thee, and to prove thee,to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his Commandments,or no.And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know;that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live”.(Deuteronomy 8:2,3).
All hope for any life is found in the Son of God……………
Jesus was tried of the devil when he was here just as we are in this life!
“Be sober,be vigilant;because your adversary the devil,as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:Whom resist stedfast in the Faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world”(1 Peter 5:8,9).
“Many are the afflictions of the righteous:but the Lord delivereth him out of them all”.(Psalm 34:19)………(Psalm 140:12,13).
