The righteous and the wicked are planted together in the earth, and until God who is a consuming fire returns at the harvest will the tares and wheat be seperated.
“Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them:but gather the wheat into my barn”.(Matthew 13:30).
It is written that John baptized with water, but the one who came after him would baptize with the Holy Spirit and with Fire. “John answered, saying unto them all,I indeed baptize you with water;but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose;he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner;but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable”.(Luke 3:16,17)………(Acts 2:3,4)
The Holy Spirit is the word of God and a fire that burns within the Believer. It is our protection from the enemy. “For I will give you a mouth of wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist”.The Believer knows who the biggest adversary to their soul is. “Be sober,be vigilant;because your adversary the devil,as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world”.(1 Peter 5:8,9).
God gives us the peace that passes all understanding, but we all have an enemy that will try to steal our peace. “My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.I am for peace:but when I speak, they are for war”.(Psalm 120:6,7).
