As Christians the words of God reach many when spoken through the Holy Spirit he has given.”Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men”: Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshly tables of the heart”.(2 Corinthians 3:2,3).

There is a prophesy that has come to pass of the Covenant God would make with his people Israel from the prophet Jeremiah: “But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days,saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts;and will be their God, and they shall be my people”.(Jeremiah 31:33).

It is this Covenant that would cause his people to fear him so they would not depart from his ways! “And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear  in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me”.(Jeremiah 32 40).

When Christ died and sent his Holy Spirit to those who follow the word we see the New Covenant is now in place:”This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts,and in their minds will I write them”.(Hebrews 10:16).

When you think about it God knew all along the outcome of man’s ways.He would give his Only Begotten Son to pay the price of sin for many through repentance and then gather his Spirit Filled Church for all Eternity back to himself!  What a plan!

It would be a people who were set on following only his way and not the ways of a temporary world.They would be sealed with his Spirit til the day of redemption and be given Eternal life for sacrificing their own lives and become strangers and pilgrims upon the earth to draw many to the Saviour that they follow, “And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God,whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption”.(Ephesians 4:30).

This is why the people of God are known as a peculiar people for you see they live in this world,but are more aware of the world to come that will have no end through the Spirit of God! “Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people,zealous of good works.These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee”.(Titus 2:12-15).
