“Confounded And Confused”

It is written if there is pride within a situation, and quarreling among the people this is not from God above but is earthly and is evil. “Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. But if ye have bitter envying and strife hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work”.(James 3:13-16).

As Christians we are faced with ridicule and surrounded by those who harbour hate in their heart’s as though God does not know each and every heart and mind of us all! David wrote of how he felt when being surpassed with his enemies and it may surprise you how he spoke to God as he ask that his enemies be covered with a robe (mantle) of their own confusion. “For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue. They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause. For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer. And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love. Set thou a wicked man over him: and let satan stand at his right hand. When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin. Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle”.(Psalm 109:2-7,29).

God is most brilliant in the way he calls those who by the worlds standards are not wise and considered as fool’s only confuse the wisdom the world feels is wise! “For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence”.(1 Corinthians 1:26-29).

We must never forget no matter how much is brought against us that God is on the throne! and we are covered by the blood of Christ, and in his time God will perform his vengeance since it belongs to him and is faithful for all that is written in his Holy Word. “Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thu art my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away. Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God:I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yes, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Behold, all thy that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish. Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought. For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not: I will help thee”.(Isaiah 41:9-13).
