“Jesus Crucifixion Forseen Of David”
Jesus spoke different times that he was with God bfore the world was, but for the people to accept such knowledge was very difficult. Jesus came from heaven to fulfill the work of his Father in the earth and would then return again from whence he came out. “For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God. I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father“.(John 16:27,28).
God’s plan is flawless and it is not by any coincidence that Jesus was from the lineage of David and was written of by David in the Psalms long before his miraculous birth! “And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)”.(Luke 2:4).
“All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, He trusted on the Lord that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him. Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Ba’-shan have beset me round. They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion”.
“And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, thou that destroyest the temple, and buildeth it in three days, Save thyself, and come down from the cross. Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves, He saved others; himself he cannot save”.
“My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?”.
“Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour. And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, La’-ma sa-bach’-tha-ni? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?“.
“For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me. They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture”.
“Then the soldiers, when the had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout. They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did”.
Jesus who was God in the flesh (Emmanuel=God with us) is the light that shines within his people today who tell many of the greatest gift given to us our Lord and Saviour…………. The same Yesterday, Today, and Forever!
