“Sow The Word”

The harvest season of God is not as man understands when sowing seed and then four months later the harvest. Gods gleaning is all throughout the year as his people sow the truth of the word among many as sometimes it is readily accepted and at other times not and takes longer to mature . “Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. Say ye not, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields, for they are white already for harvest. And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together. And herein is that saying true, One soweth and another reapeth. I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours”.(John 4:34-38).

It is explained very well how if we lean on living carnally (in the fleshly lusts), then we are walking as men and not being fed the word of God an accepting it as the vital food for our soul. “And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?(1 Corinthians 3:1-3).

When we cast the word among many it is as casting bread upon the water’s for Christ is the bread of life and waters spiritually speaking are people. “Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days. In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: or thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good”. Ecclesiastes 11:1,6).

Jesus teaches a great lesson of what truly is the kingdom of God and while his people are busy sowing seeds of truth, satan too is busy trying his best to uproot that which has been planted! (Matthew 13:18-32).
