“The Righteous Of The Lord Rejoice”

We have at times met people who even if everything around them seems to of fallen apart, they have a smile on their face and seem unshaken by their circumstances. When we keep our mind on the Lord we are aware that in times of trouble we do not walk alone. (Jeremiah 14:8,9). O the hope of Israel, the saviour thereof in time of trouble, why shouldest thou be as a stranger in the land, and as a wayfaring man that turneth aside to tarry for a night? Why shouldest thou be as a man astonied, as a mighty man that cannot save? yet thou, O Lord, art in the midst of us, and we are called by thy name; leave us not.

The people who truly love the Lord will hate evil, and we praise and are thankful for all he has done for us. Why wouldn’t we not rejoice for such a protection given us. (Psalm 97:10-12). Ye that love the Lord, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart. Rejoice in the Lord, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

The righteous or the word saint is taken wrong many times as though someone is putting themselves better than others, but scripture tells us the saints and righteous are those who would follow whats good and right over whats bad and evil every time! (Psalm 30:3-5).  O Lord, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
