The born again experience is hard to be understood by the change family and friends see in a person who is now living their life different than they once did. As the beloved of God we are told to abstain from idolatry for we are the temple of God, and are told to be separate as we are his son’s and daughters. (2 Corinthians 6:14-18). Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
Not only does a person become more aware of the presence of God when they repent, but the power of the Holy Spirit do they know they are different and it is for the betterment of them as well as those who will hear them! (1 Timothy 4:13-16). Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
To be the beloved of God will cause people to mock and persecute you and yes even hate what you now stand for. This is all to the glory of God as we were forewarned of Christ himself as he said: Remember they hated me before they hated you. (John 15:18-20). If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
So remember dearly beloved that we serve our Saviour in Spirit and in truth, and we are given guidance of the word by the Spirit given which comforts us. The world you once were such a big part of pales to the promises of the unending joy that awaits for an eternal place we are now destined for! This promise comes from none other than the beloved of God…..The Lord Jesus Christ. (Psalm 2:6,7,11,12).
