To the redeemed soul nothing compares to the joy found in knowing even though our old sinful nature is perished (Forgiven) we have set our sights on things above and our life is now hid in Christ. (Colossians 3:1-3).
We come to learn the world and all it offers will never give us the peace found only in the Saviour! (Isaiah 63:7,8). I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the Lord, and the praises of the Lord, according to all that the Lord hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses. For he said, Surely they are my people, children that will not lie: so he was their Saviour. The kingdom of God is a great treasure that when it is found nothing else has your attention as it once did. (Matthew 13:44). Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.
When we hide the word of God within our hearts, it helps us from sinning against the Lord. (Psalm 119:10-12).
We are told that God is not so far away he cannot hear or see us, and anyone who claims to hold the faith of being a Christian is expected to proclaim the word of the Lord they serve, and to help others turn from their evil ways, for no one can hide themselves from God! (Jeremiah 23:22-24). But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.Am I a God at hand, saith the Lord, and not a God afar off? Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.
Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.
