” The Fleece “

Show Me A Sign God…….

Some view the bible as people who were different from us, as though they were holier and God was somehow closer to them than he would be to us today. Truth be known people are people and the design of man has not changed since our creator formed us! Gideon did what many of us have done even today and that is when going through something and we feel distant from God, that we ask him for a sign that he has heard us…. Like the story of Gideon and the fleece. (Judges 6:36-40). And Gideon said unto God, If thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said,Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said. And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the fleece together, and wringed the dew out of the fleece, a bowl full of water. And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the fleece; let it now be dry only upon the fleece, and upon all the ground let there be dew.And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the fleece only, and there was dew on all the ground.

We are given signs many times from above and some go unnoticed, yet they remain. (Genesis 1:14,15). And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

When Samuel annointed Saul he told him the Spirit of the Lord would come upon him and he’d be given another heart (for God), and all the signs he said did come to pass as said! (1 Samuel 10:6,9). And the Spirit of the Lord will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man. And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day.

No Christian will ever forget the best and most beautiful gift given to man as a sign for our Salvation! (Isaiah 7:14). Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
