A life guided by the Lord is a sure path, for He will teach those who look to Him for all help. (Psalm 25:6-10). Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old. Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness’ sake, O Lord. Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way. The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way. All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
God showed so much mercy to His redeemed people as He caused the waters of the red sea to part as He guided them in His strength to the other side! (Exodus 15:10-13). Thou didst blow with thy wind, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty waters. Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? Thou stretchedst out thy right hand, the earth swallowed them. Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.
The guidance of the Holy Spirit was sent to us by the promise Jesus gave that He would send Him. We as believers know of the truth that lives within by His presence we can feel. (John 16:13-15).
God alone knows the plotting of an enemy or whoever does not have our best interest at heart. If we trust completely in Him we will see our enemy taken out of the way as we are guided on the path that leads to Him. (Psalm 37:32-37). The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him. The Lord will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged. Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it. I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree. Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found. Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.
