What a long journey Jesus took from heaven to teach us the importance of love for one another, and to give us solutions for the injustices we may face. When all is said and done have we learned from His examples shown us? And the reason He journeyed from so far away. (Mark 13:34-37). For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
The kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country and in the parable of the talents each servant of Christ is given different talents, and when He returns what will we have to show to Him of the things we have been entrusted with? May we not be as the unprofitable servant.(Matthew 25:14-30).
The day will come when Christ will come to reign upon the earth for all eternity, although He was here for a very short time and felt as a stranger we hear this in the reply to a certain scribe that the Son of man has no place to lay His head (Matthew 8:19,20). The journey He took from heaven shows of the genuine love God has for mankind in sending us His only begotten Son and the Salvation of man it has accomplished. (John 3:16-21) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God……… (Daniel 7:13-14).
