” In A Moment Of Time “

It is written Gods ways are not our ways and His ways are higher than ours. (Isaiah 55:6-9). Did you know that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years? So imagine a moment in time would be but a day. (2 Peter 3:8-9).  But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

When satan tempted Jesus he showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time and also claimed to have all power to give to whosoever would worship him. Jesus reply sums it up by saying only the Lord God is the one that is to be worshipped and served! (Luke 4:5-8). And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

The apostle Paul knew just how short this life truly is for all he went through and it was alt such as three times was beaten with rods, was stoned once, three times suffered shipwreck, and was a day and night in the deep waters (2 Corinthians 11:23-31), Yet Paul saw the big picture and called all that he endured “A light affliction” which was for a moment. (2 Corinthians 4:13-18). We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

It will be in a moment and twinkling of an eye when Christ returns at the last trump shall all the dead and living be changed. It will be in that spit second in time that will show what our life has meant. Something to think about for no man knows the hour our Lord will return. (1 Corinthians 15:51-58).  Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
