Even before the world was created God predestined His people who would live a life according to His purpose. They are a people who would answer the call on their life! (Romans 8:28-30) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified……. (Romans 9:11).
When we lived away from God and did not know of the salvation found in Christ we were without God in the world. Through sincere repentance do we come to realize the power of the blood of Christ to draw us into a closer relationship with Him, we then live according to His ways and not our own. Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ……. (Psalm 100:3)
