” The Ransom “

RANSOM……… Redemption, A consideration paid or demanded for the release of someone or something from captivity, To Deliver, To free from punishment by paying a price, To Rescue.

The definition of ransom explains completely what our Lord Jesus Christ has done for all of us. He is our redeemer from a life which could very well of been lost. (Isaiah 62:10-12).  Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people. Behold, the Lord hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.

What love is found in the one who was willing to die so that we may have life, not only while we have our being but for all eternity we will never see death because of our Lord! Such a love for us to suffer to set us free from the power of sin, we are bought with a precious price. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).  What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

It is written children are the greatest in the kingdom of God, and whosoever will be great among any of us is as a minister and servant just as the Lord gave us an example when He gave His life as a ransom for many!  (Matthew 20:26-28).  But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

To read all the Lord has done for us Isaiah Chapter 53 says it all!
