We all know someone, perhaps its even you, who does not call on the Lord unless tragedy strikes and they say if you get me out of this Lord I will change and do better. There is always the hope of the one who repents on their death bed, but why would anyone want to live a life without the Lord and miss out on all the blessings only He can give, yet many do!
For some it is as the parable of the seed and the sower where if they speak the word are not able to endure the persecution of others therefore the word becomes unfruitful. ( Matthew 13:18-30 ).
So many places in this life can we seek God, but by taking other avenues we could very well miss truly finding Him and sadly die without to have known Him. It is highly popular for people to go to mediums nowadays, but little do they know it has nothing to do with God and they die without the Lord. ( Isaiah 8:19-22 ).
Simon Peter gave the best answer for all of us when Jesus asked if he too would go away after seeing other disciples who no longer walked with Him. ( John 6:65-69 ) 65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father. 66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. 67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? 68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. 69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
