What is faith? Belief and trust in the loyalty of God, sincerity of intention’s, Firm belief in something which is unseen and without proof, Complete trust, Being steadfast in a belief, Staying loyal to a promise, an unwaivering conviction.
There is a battle to all who are in Christ Jesus and it is the good fight of faith. The world draws many away from the faith that we should have in God, instead of wanting and believing in all one can see. Faith is believing in the unseen yet knowing God has the ability to bring it to pass. Abraham had this kind of faith as God promised Him he would be the father of many nations before he and Sarah even had a child all at the age of 100 (Romans 4:16-20) 16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, 17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. 18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. 19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb: 20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God.
Sadly some believe the more money they have the more blessed they are, God does bless us for our labor but when we start to store it up and lose our faith in God by putting faith in money we lose sight of the only hope we have in Christ. We do not take it with us and we cannot serve God and money (1 Timothy 6:5-12) 5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. 6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. 9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. 12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Hebrews 11:6).

Good mornin to you miss Julia 😊
Great post!
And I would add that our faith is pathetic.
Thank God however, we Christians have been given the faith of Christ!
Romans 3:22
Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference
Hebrews 12:2
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of [our] faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Galatians 2:20
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:16
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Romans 12:3
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Which is the means by which we rest in the finished work of Christ.

Thank you Lee for all these wonderful passages! So much confirmation of what true faith in Christ is! Your right that our faith does not compare to the faith we find in Christ. Have a Blessed day.

God bless you sister 🙏
You touched on something most people don’t… Money. Not that having money or savings or retirement accounts etc. is bad in itself, but I can’t help but believe that most people’s security is in that. Faith is believing Him in the absence of anything. Can we live without anything and trust Him that there will be one days manna for us the next day? Can we live like that for 40 years or do we need our 401k?
Your comment is excellent in explaining how if everything anyone trusts in …. money included would they still have faith in God without the material assets. Love that sense of humor “Can we live in our present day as they did with manna for 40 years without a 401k?” LOL loved this! God Bless you Always.

Love that sense of humor “Can we live forty years without a 401K?” without manna God provided in the wilderness. The Israelites sure proved how it was to have total reliance on God for their livelihood didn’t they!!! A wonderful example of faith. Ya know they did have shoes back then that did not wear out for forty years unlike the ones that only last a year or so now. LOL God Bless You Always.
