We are blessed to deliver the truth of the word to many!
And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me. (Luke 7:23).
The message a believer has to give will not be easily accepted,in fact those closest to you are the one’s who will reject your new found conversation of Christ the most.Jesus knew full well how it felt to be rejected of his own. (John 1:10-12) He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.
Now before anyone says women should not preach, then you will have to rewrite the bible for there were and still are prophetess’s to this day in the earth. People who are not offended to give the message God has placed within them to teach………Miriam (Exodus 15:20)……Deborah (Judges 4:4)……Huldah (2 Kings 22:14,2 Chronicles 34:22)……Noadiah (Nehemiah 6:14)……Anna (Luke 2:36)…………And there was even the FALSE Prophetess Jezebel we read of in Revelation (Revelation 2:20). God said he would pour out his Spirit on all flesh, not just men.(Joel 2:28) And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh;and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.
When Jesus went to his own country to preach in their synagogue it was his own people that were offended and who shunned him. (Matthew 13:54-58) And when he was come into his own country,he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works? Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren,James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things? And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
It makes sense that those who have known you your whole life would mock and think it odd that you are all of a sudden preaching the word, but it is written he calls us out of the world therefore our conversation is no longer of the world. People believe if you didn’t go to a ministry school of man your unlearned in scripture………Peter and John were even called unlearned and ignorant men yet they healed many by the one they were called by. (Acts 4:13-16) Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it. But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves, Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.
There will always be those who constantly search to hear the message that will satisfy them, even if it does not line up with the word of God. But tfor those who are called into the ministry of Christ they know even though they are rejected and people take offense to what they teach it still remains the truth that must be preached! (2 Timothy 4:3-5) For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
Let’s not be like in the parable of the seed and the sower those who have no root and become offended for the word.(Mark 4:17) And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time:afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended.
When you do nasty things I will consider it offense. But when I look right inside your eyes, I see love. Love cover multitude of sin
Amen Julia ❤
