When we read Isaiah chapter 53 many believe it is written of the end of Christs life, but it is written on who the person of Christ really was as he lived among a world that needed his Fathers message that many would not accept. People mocked and rejected Him just as  people today when they speak the same message written on their heart by the Holy Spirit! The beginning words of this chapter hold true today WHO HATH BELIEVED OUR REPORT? Isaiah Chapter 53.

We are all born into the worlds system and quickly learn of it’s ways, the difference our Lord had was He knew His Fathers will and stayed true to that from the moment He was born until the time of the cross. He was tempted as we are yet without sin. The world to this day persecute those who are born of the Spirit! They have the spirit of the world and follow it’s ways and when they speak the world listens and those of the Spirit are not heard. There is a great lesson of the two sons born to Abraham for one was born by a bondmaid and the other by a free woman. One represents born of flesh and the other born of promise (Galatians 4:28,29) Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.

How true it is today that there is a separation of those called out of the world, and those who remain in it’s ways!(1 John 4:5,6). They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

The world has a false sense of what our Saviour has brought to us, His teachings were not how to live a better life in the world, but how to live in the world through His Holy Spirit in a world that rejects Him and His truth. It is written few people find the narrow road that leads to life, and sadly it is a road that if taken others take offence to. Jesus even said if they hate you remember they hated me first. Our hope is in this, it is not the hearers of the word who are just before God, but the doers!  Anyone can hear the words of God, but to apply and live by them is a different story. (James 1:20-23) For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness  of God. Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity (Excess) of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass (mirror).

Our Lords way is very unpopular but it remains the only way to enter heaven for no one can enter it by any other way! (Acts 4:11,12) This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

All that the eye can see is of the world, but it is by the unseen through spiritual eyes of faith we know the love bestowed upon us from above cannot be denied and it is by this faith we wait on the Lord who brings to pass all promises made to us by the Holy Spirit given to those who stay the course of the narrow less traveled road to eternal life!

Great words from the Saviour who bought our salvation at the cross! JOHN 17: 13-20………………………….

  2. My two favorite scripture passages are Isaiah 53 and John 17. I pray them and I praise our Beloved Lord God as I read them. On Communion Sunday I read Isaiah 53 and Luke 22. I will always think soberly as I read Isaiah 53:9 – they made His grave with the wicked—but with the rich at His death…When men were crucified, they didn’t get a burial at their death but were further humiliated by being tossed into the burning garbage heap, but God put it on Joseph of Arimathea’s heart to put Jesus’ body in his tomb. It would be temporary; praises be to our God and Savior! Alleluia! \o/

Have a blessed Lord’s Day, sis, amen! \o/
