Do not fear

We are strongly advised by the word to not fear others, we can rest in knowing God is on the throne and we can be at peace and content with what we have (Hebrews 13:5,6) Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

When Joshua succeeded Moses he was told to not fear or be dismayed, and to lead the people unto the land God had promised them. It was with great courage (Deuteronomy 31:5-8) And the LORD shall give them up before your face, that ye may do unto them according unto all the commandments which I have commanded you. Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou must go with this people unto the land which the LORD hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it. And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.

We can take great comfort in knowing we are not alone in this life, and that we have a God who gives us strength to endure and is our protection! (Isaiah 41:10-13) Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish. Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought. For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

Fear is not present if we really have the love of God in our heart , and just as our Lord did not fear others we as well are like Him in this world carrying His message to many (1 John 4:17,18) Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. (Psalm 56:4).

The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant. (Psalm 25:14).
