Snares And Nets

There are so many snares and nets within our lives that we may not even realize it, but Praise be to God He saves us from them all!

The following is a list of just how many snares and net’s we can come across as we go throughout our lives.

1.) To take company with an angry person….“Make no friendship with an angry man;and with a furious man thou shalt not go: Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul”. (Proverbs 22:24,25).

2.) A fool’s mouth….“A fool’s mouth is his destruction,and his lips are the snare of his soul”(Proverbs 18:7).

3.) The Proud….“The proud have hid a snare for me,and cords;they have spread a net by the wayside;they have set gins for me”.(Psalm 140:5).

4.) The Wicked….“The Lord trieth the righteous:but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and a horrible tempest:This shall be the portion of their cup”.(Psalm 11:5,7), (Psalm 10:3-9)

5.) Fear of Man….“The fear of man bringeth a snare:but whoso putteth  his trust in the Lord shall be safe”.(Proverbs 29:25).

6.) Neighbor….“A man that flattereth his neighbor spreadeth a net for his feet”.(Proverbs 29:5).

7.) Evil men….“In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare:but the righteous doth sing and rejoice”.(Proverbs 29:6).

8.) The Enemy….“They also that seek after my life lay snares for me:and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long”.(Psalm:38:12)

9.) The perverse-“Thorns and snares are in the way of the froward:(perverse)he that doth keep his soul shall be far from them”.(Proverbs 22:5).

10.) The Devil himself….“And the servant of the Lord must not strive;but be gentle unto all men,apt to teach, patient,In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves;if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will”.(2 Timothy 2:24-26).

Great is the Lord in the midst of our troubles, may we learn to surrender all to Him, the one who is our just God and deliverer! (Psalm 35).

For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them. (Ecclesiastes 9:12).
