A Call To Ministry

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. It is with this new lease on life we are given many things, and in teaching the word of God we are given the ministry of reconciliation ( 2 Corinthians 5:18-21) And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Long before any brick was laid one upon another, it was the Spirit that spoke through and directed the people of God as seen in Moses, Samuel, Jeremiah and others and even now throughout our day and time is the spirit building His spiritual church! (1 Peter 2:4-10)

Paul spoke of the ministry in which He was called unto in the Lord, and teaches us as well to “Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.” (Acts 20:28).

Our Lord has obtained a ministry that has been established through His spirit, and it is unlike the many false denominations that are teaching doctrines of men. Those in Christ preach the truth of His ministry and are instructed by Him! (2 Timothy 4:1-5) I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
