“What Is Known For Certain And Are Assured Of”

Life holds many uncertainties, but we can be assured that when we have faith in Christ it is not in vain as He never changes and is the same yesterday, today, and forever!

As Christians we are instructed to not just speak words of love, but it is in deed and the truth of the word we speak that will show others our hearts are for God. (1 John 3:18-21).  My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

There is the saying “You can’t take it with you”, but did you know this sound advice of teaching us to not store up things here is biblical? We are to be content with having what we need and what we labor for is a blessing. In 1 Timothy 6:5-12 we learn although we may gain much in this life we are to stay mindful of helping others, for money is not evil in itself but is no good if coveted.(1 Timothy 6:5-12).  Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

The most wonderful thing that we can be certain of is our Lord which died and rose again will return and every eye shall see Him at that time! (Revelation 1:7-8) Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty…… (Hebrews 9:27-28).

  1. Dear Julia, dear sister… What a challenge to BE CONTENT with what we have !

I think the coveting spirit is at work more than we realize, as the advertising media’s goal is to always make us THINK we want something else ( i.e., what they are selling at that point in time and space. )

Truly, JESUS is ALL we need; if we are about HIS+ Work, His+ way… HE+ will supply the necessities to do that work and then some extra for us.

May the LORD bless you for your labors for HIM+ … always lifting HIM+ up in His+ Word. HE+ is Worthy.

    In HIM+,
