It is not hard to know the environment of the wicked, for God and the righteousness of His ways are far from their dwelling. Their days are set on plotting against the righteous and will even lose sleep to get their wicked deeds done. (Proverbs 4:14-19). Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away. For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall. For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence. But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.
A just person may fall but will rise again, while the wicked will fall into mischief. It may be easy to fret and get upset with those who choose evil, but when we look at the big picture of what happens to the wicked compared to the righteous they receive no reward and their candle shall be put out! (Proverbs 24:15-20) Lay not wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous; spoil not his resting place: For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief. Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth: Lest the Lord see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him. Fret not thyself because of evil men, neither be thou envious at the wicked: For there shall be no reward to the evil man; the candle of the wicked shall be put out…… (Psalm 37:1-4,8-15).
The wicked do not understand the ways of God, and Daniel was told of the time of the end when many would be purified and tried, while the wicked would continue in their wickedness! (Daniel 12:8-10) And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand…… (Revelation 22:10-14).
