A Redeemed People of God

When we read the following definition given by Websters dictionary of what redeemed means, how could anyone neglect to want such a wonderful gift God has given for our redemption!

Redeem – To buy back, to repurchase, to free from captivity, to change for the better, to free from the consequences of sin, to restore and repair, to make worthwhile.

It is through the shed blood of Christ we find redemption for our soul. Even before the foundation of the world God has predestined His people to be adopted into His family! ( Ephesians 1:4-14 ).

The blood of Christ cleanses us from all sin, and is not a temporary gift but is an eternal one. ( Hebrews 9:11-15 ).

Titus 2:11-15 11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. 15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
