If Everything Were Gone What Manner Of Person Would You Be?

When a person labors and works for all that they have in this life we know it is truly the gift of God. This post is written to make aware that God is above everything and what would we do in the event we suffer the loss of it all, is God the center of your life? Are you standing on his promises?

No matter what way of life we live, what manner of person would you be if all were taken from you? This is a question worth looking into because scripture addresses it.  Will the loss be too overwhelming or are you strong in the Lord and will be able to endure?  Rest assured God truly does know those who are His and no one can protect us more than He does!  We see on the news almost daily just what ability God’s strength looks like in the earth through the weather, yet many have turned a blind eye that it is God walking through the earth. Can man open the earth as we see all the sinkholes reported? Can man make lightning and thunder? Can man make a tornado as wide as five miles or carry storms across the earth from one end to the other? God Can, and does! His way will always be above anything people can conjure up. (Nahum 1:3,6,7) The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him. The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

So in God’s eyes just what are the true riches that we should  be holding onto in this life? Did you know our actions either add to our length of days or take from? (Proverbs 3:13-18) Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.

It is written there is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. (Proverbs 14:12). Is the way we are living today a way God is well pleased with? If so then judgment day is nothing to fear, but there is still time to change our ways and God will not turn His back on a person who searches to please and live for Him. (Psalm 34:14-17) Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

So what is most important to us as we walk through this temporary place, for God has assured us there is a Judgment day and we all will stand before him. When all is gone what manner of person will you be, and what is important to you in this life? (2 Peter 3:10,11,13,14) But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness. Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
