The Fear Of The Lord

We are told to have fear and reverence for God,yet many live daily in fear of other people or of an unforeseen tragedy that may not ever materialize.

When people leave God out of their life and do not fear Him they are forfeiting the only help that can protect them! (Psalm 27:1) The Lord is my light, and my salvation;whom shall I fear?the Lord is the strength of my life;of whom shall I be afraid?

When man rises as though there is no power above his actions it’s important to keep in mind,”We are to fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul:but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell”.(Matthew 10:28).Man’s power cannot be compared to the infinite power of God!

When God is center of our life there is nothing we want that would take preeminence over the joy we have in the Lord. The words many know from the 23rd Psalm rings true. The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want.(Psalms 34:7,9) The Angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him,and delivereth them. O fear the Lord,ye his saints:for there is no want to them that fear him.

Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and Godly fear:For our God is a consuming fire.(Hebrews 12:28,29).

We are well protected under the shadow of our Father’s wings…………(Psalm 91).
