A Different People

But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him. (Psalm 4:3).

God has a way of making sure those who truly are willing to live for Him understand that they will in view of the world be looked at as A Different People……… No they do not appear different on the outside at all, but on the inside they are different and have been changed by the Holy Spirit within them. They are zealous of good works and seen as peculiar according to the world’s standards, and there are many who have gone before them who were also willing to suffer for Christ’s sake no matter what. (Titus 2:11-15). For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

How many go from church to church searching for the truth while others are perfectly happy staying where they have been for many years. I will never forget the last one hour a week service I went to only this time looking up and saying how tired I was singing a couple songs (sometimes the same one from the previous week) and not really learning about my Lord and Saviour for it had all become vain repetition and no real teaching. (Matthew 6:5-8). My life instantly changed when I read Isaiah 43:9-13 and must have read and reread verse 12 many times! God our Father in heaven who knows each and every heart knew how long I had been searching for Him to no avail and from that day forth have never looked back to mans religion or denominations for answers. Only the scriptures through the holy spirit can guide us into all truth and the answer‘s we are searching for in it’s pages! (John 16:13-15). God really does show up when we no longer search for Him where He is not (Isaiah 43:9-13) Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth. Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour. I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, that I am God. Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?…….. (Jeremiah 29:11-13).

When we search for God we learn He truly is not far from any one of us, and as the world will make you think you can only serve God once a week for an hour, we must remember all Jesus’ disciples and our Lord Himself did not need a building surrounding them to preach the word. So many of Jesus’ teaching‘s were preached out among the multitudes of people! There is a harvest waiting to be gathered for the Lord, but sadly the labourers are few (Mathew 9:35-38) And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

Ezekiels great commission is still in the earth today through those who genuinely take the instruction our Lord gave to go into all the earth and preach the word. Just as Ezekiel was sent to the most rebellious of people, we too must do the same, as people will fight to stay in their sin just as they did in Ezekiels day! (Ezekiel Chapter 2).

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. (Mark 16:15-20),(1 Peter 2:9,10).

    • Yes when we come to the end of the road searching for answers our Father steps in and reveals His truth, and we are never the same. Gods Grace over you.

    • YES! Nuts in bran is a fine cereal, and make sure not to couple it with certain unsavory fruit’s though as they would spoil your good nature! I don’t mind sitting on the shelf next to you as a box of fruit loops. People don’t know what their missing by bypassing us! Blessings.
