The Sent
God is so gracious and since the very beginning has always sent His servants the prophets to teach and warn, even though their message often times falls on deaf ears. Even John the Baptist who was the forerunner of our Lord and Savior said that he was as one crying in the wilderness! (Jeremiah 7:23-26) But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my…
The Rock of Israel
And the I AM answered me in a Thought: “Tell them who I AM.” Throughout Scripture, the title “Rock of Israel” stands as one of the most vivid revelations of God’s character. It is a name that gathers His strength, His faithfulness, and His immovable sovereignty. When the biblical writers speak of God as the Rock, they are not reaching…
The Prize
“I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:14 (ESV) The “prize” of the Christian life is that “upward call.” It is a call that goes far deeper than teachings and doctrines. It is fueled by an inward press of the Spirit of God…

The Body Keeps a Gospel
The preacher said— “One day we’ll all be together again…” and the women in the second pew held each other like shipwreck survivors clinging to wet lumber. But I been reading the Book at 3 AM with burnt coffee breath and thunder sitting low in my chest like bad weather, and I can’t find many…

The Power of Longsuffering in a Short-Tempered World Note: Scripture Links are from me to the Worthy Bible with Strongs site. Longsuffering, though rarely used today, is…
Born of the flesh….. Born of The Spirit Of God
We see the loving kindness of God when Abraham had two sons, one born of Sarah’s maid Hagar who was Ishmael and the other born to Sarah and Abraham named Isaac. The difference here holds great meaning to those of us who are known as being of the seed of Abraham. For the one born…
The Strong Tower of God’s Hebrew Name
There are seasons when the battlefield of the mind feels relentless. Thoughts rise like storm winds, swirling through our grey matter with a force that seems beyond our control. Scripture is clear that such mental assaults are not imagined; they are part of the enemy’s strategy. “The devil…walks about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he…
