The Wilderness

Time Alone:Needed for the life of the believer………………

We live in a world where the five senses are being used constantly! Taste,Hear,Smell,See,Touch. They are used so much we forget to check our Spiritual sense of what the will of God is for our daily life.

Jesus kept himself sensitive to his Spiritual sense of what the Fathers will was.He would go to be alone in the wilderness many times to pray and seek for answers and be empowered by his father to bring healing to the people: It is seen here in the following passages:

“And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed. And it came to pass on a certain day,as he was teaching, that there were pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by,which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judea, and Jerusalem:and the “Power Of The Lord” was present to heal them.(Luke 5:16,17).

When Jesus died and rose he went to his disciples and “Opened their understanding”,that they might understand the scriptures, and said unto them,Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things. And, behold,I send the promise of my Father upon you:but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued(Transfused or Influenced)with “Power” from on high.(Luke 24:45-49).

If the small still voice of God is silenced by the busyness of daily life he has no way to speak to his children unless we find a place to once again be alone and seek him.

It is clear that there is a Power in the life of the Believer which only comes from alone time with the Father! An example given by our Saviour for the peace of our souls……………………

Don’t worry if others do not understand for the call on ones life is only understood by the sheep that hears his voice!!!!! MY SHEEP HEAR MY VOICE,AND I KNOW THEM,AND THEY FOLLOW ME: and I give unto them eternal life;and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.(John 10:27,28).
