Ezekiel’s Commission
Ezekiel had quite the commission to do for the Lord, and the watchmen of today are still sounding the trumpet of the Lord as the rebellious and hardened heart’s still exist! Let’s look at what Ezekiel set out to do , and how the mission of the saint’s today is the same message. “For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God. And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them. And thou , son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost well among scorpians: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house. And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious”.(Ezekiel 2:4-7).
Isaiah prophesied of the times heart’s and minds would continue to be hardened and Jesus spoke of this: “That the saying of E-sai’-as the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed? Therefore they could not believe, because that E-sai’-as said again, He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them”.
(John 12:38-40).
These scorpions (enemies of the cross) are still in the earth today, But Christ has given us power through the Holy Spirit and the power of the living word of God to contend with such rebellion! “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven”.(Luke 10:19,20).
In the last days Jesus tells us the days will be shortened for the elect’s sake, and it is shortened to five (5) months when what’s called the locust army will cover the land to fight against the people (saint’s) of God! “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened”.(Matthew 24:21,22). When this time comes the command for this locust army is to not hurt those who are for God, but those who have not the seal of God in their foreheads. It will be a great tribulation, But this will be a time of the patience of the saint’s. “And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree, but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.”.(Revelation 9:3-5).
