” The Best Defense “

thCAGOP0BJv

The best defense any one of us could ever have is to keep the word of God close, for there is no situation in this life that God has not given us the answer to. We remain unmoved by evil or unrighteousness by knowing God is our defense! (Psalm 62:1-2).  Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.  He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.

It is written wisdom is a defense and so is money, but wisdom actually gives life to those who have it. (Ecclesiastes 7:11-12).  Wisdom is good with an inheritance: and by it there is profit to them that see the sun.  For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.

Our soul delights in the Lord who is our strength, and even if an enemy surrounds us we know the Lord is our refuge and any device meant for us for no good will God put upon those who meant us harm. (Psalm 94:17-23).  Unless the Lord had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence. When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O Lord, held me up.  In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.  Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?  They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood. But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge. And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the Lord our God shall cut them off.
