Woke up this morning to see headlines of the mass executions in Iraq along with the photographs where men are willing to show and boast about the wickedness they have done.
For weeks now we have also been seen how men who think they are brave and fierce attack, maim, kill and kidnap young children and women in African countries.
Without Christ in my heart I would find these things difficult to comprehend and maybe would be so motivated by the anguish and pain of seeing all of these things happening I would be like many others and go to seek and destroy these wicked people from the face of the earth.
All these things clearly show the the wickedness of mans heart when they are separated from the true Living God and Coming King. All these things are man’s ideologies and become so ingrained on a mans heart in these places they simply become a brute beast as the word describes.
In recent times I have never anguished so much before the Lord over such matters and struggled to cope mentally, physically, spiritually in seeing the needless waste of human life. My heart has shattered into a thousand pieces and when before the Lord this anguish becomes tears and the tears becomes puddles, the puddles, streams, the stream rivers, the rivers roaring waves of pure emotion that are uncontrollable.
Mans world is so full of ideologies which have all failed miserably and the direct result is always the innocent suffer even unto death. Think of what man’s politics have done to countries, they divide one against the other but that is their purpose, to divide and conquer those in these places.
Think of all the different denominations within the man driven christian sector. History clearly shows the result, division and infighting and death to all because none enter fully into the kingdom of God on this earth.
All mans false ideologies, whether they be a so called religion, politics or any other line of thought ultimately leads to the physical death of those involved, and in many cases the deaths of very large numbers of innocent people caught up in the fray.
If man was to be left with his own devices he would completely annihilate himself from the face of this earth. Mankind would be extinct and how satan would rejoice at that, however before this happens the Lord himself will intervene and return and bring His kingdom to this earth.
What can we do in the meantime even though our hearts in the Lord may be broken by all this carnage. Do exactly what the small quiet voice of the Lord tells you to do in the very troubled times. Minister to the lost, hurt and broken where you are given the power to do so and let the Lord reap the harvest.
Come together in your homes and houses and pray for each other and as lead by the Holy Ghost pray for the things that He lays upon your hearts. Be lead by the Lord and no one else for there are many wolves in sheep’s clothing amongst God’s people.
Endure the hardness of this world as His soldier and when you are heavy burdened go unto the Lord and lay these burdens before Him and take up His yoke because it is easy and light to carry.
Pray for all the saints, those close to you and those that you will only meet when his kingdom comes here on earth for his word never returns void to our Father. It will always accomplish what He sent it to do for that person, that group, that land.
Be blessed my brothers and sisters and remember the words spoken to Joshua, be strong, be courageous, mediate on the word day and night and do not turn to the left nor the right but keep your eyes and life firmly focused on the Lord for he is surely returning for his children and bride.
These words were written at the time that Iraq was being torn apart by those who thought and still think they are the rightful heirs to this earth. Since this time the anguish has never left me. At one point the Lord took me to Nehemiah 1:4 When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven.
It was news of how the walls of Jerusalem and the city itself lay in ruins that had this effect on Nehemiah’s soul and seeing what is happening in the world and in the kingdom of God here on earth in the now has had the same effect on my soul.
In amongst all this our precious Lord reminded me of this one thing, “the gates of hell will not prevail against his Church”. What a promise and one which we can walk in.
But where does this leave me and the true followers of Christ Jesus as we walk where the Lord has planted our feet. His answer to me and I suspect many more of my brothers and sisters in the Lord, on our knees before the throne of our God who is mighty in battle, in love, grace and mercy crying out words like from Nehemiah in the name of Jesus our Lord;
“Lord, the God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments, 6 let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant is praying before you day and night for your servants, the people of Israel. I confess the sins we Israelites, including myself and my father’s family, have committed against you. 7 We have acted very wickedly toward you. We have not obeyed the commands, decrees and laws you gave your servant Moses.
Brothers and sisters be vigilant, watchful and though we are walking in times we may not have seen before, there is nothing new that has not happened in the past. Our Father will see us through these times if we continue to walk in Him in all our ways. He is our hope our confidence and though we may be perplexed on every side God Almighty see all things and hears all things from his people on this earth and He will stretch out his right hand to those who humble themselves before Him.
I could write more, but the spirit of God says no more words are needed for they are sufficient to encourage you all to come with me in the spirit into the throne room of God boldly in the name of Christ Jesus our Lord in the unity of His Church, the church of the firstborn (Hebrews 12) and lets us cry out the words the spirit of the living God, Jesus Christ fills our mouths with before the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and then enter into His rest and see His salvation burst forth before our eyes.
