Mercy and judgment

Just as there are consequences for our actions so it is with God who shows both mercy and judgment in the earth. God is a jealous God who instructs us to serve Him and no other God and to keep His commandments. He visits upon us mercy and judgment for the decisions we make in serving Him(Exodus 20:3-6). 3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; 6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Gods judgments are always right and as His servants we are blessed by keeping His just ways!(Psalm 106:1-5).

By being cruel we trouble our own souls, but do good to our soul if we are merciful(Proverbs 11:17).

Our Lord is ever merciful and sits upon a throne of grace,a place that we can go to when we are in need of help(Hebrews 4:14-16).

One day the kingdom of our Lord and saviour will be established upon the earth, and it will be ruled by His righteous judgment for all eternity. A day all christians are waiting for!(Revelation 11:15) 15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.(Isaiah 9:6,7).
