At the prompting of the spirit we speak

We as Paul are changed by the call we have on our life, and in serving Christ we know it is more important to preach the gospel than to persuade and please men. Therefore we speak the word boldly! (Galatians 1:10-12), For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

As christians it is by the Holy Spirit we boldly speak the truth of the gospel. It is especially prominent of how boldly the spirit speaks as seen in Peter and John who were men perceived to be ignorant and unlearned! They spoke boldly when the people saw a man who was lame over forty years healed yet the people were filled with unbelief (Acts 4:13,29-31). Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

When we accept the truth of the word of God, we are embolden to speak it. The word works through all who believe! (1 Thessalonians 2:10-13) Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe: As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father doth his children, That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory. For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.
