God walks through the earth many times and is unnoticed by sight, for He still walks the earth through those in which His Holy Spirit dwells. What a great wonder it must have been to see the red sea parted as God led his people through the midst of it on dry land! (Psalm 77:14-20). Thou art the God that doest wonders: thou hast declared thy strength among the people. Thou hast with thine arm redeemed thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah. The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee; they were afraid: the depths also were troubled. The clouds poured out water: the skies sent out a sound: thine arrows also went abroad. The voice of thy thunder was in the heaven: the lightnings lightened the world: the earth trembled and shook. Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known. Thou leddest thy people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
As Christians we walk a path that has been previously walked by those who loved God and did His will, they are examples we can learn from even today. They are the witnesses which have gone before us! (Hebrews 12:1,2) Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Scripture teaches us what is the right and wrong path we should be on, and when we are enticed by sinner’s we are not to walk with them and stay off their path. (Proverbs 1:10-15). My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not. If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause: Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit: We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil: Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse:My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path:
The Lord even says that we should ask for the old path’s, for in it we will find rest (Jeremiah 6:16). Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
THY WORD IS A LAMP UNTO MY FEET, AND A LIGHT UNTO MY PATH. (Psalm 119:105).
