In a world of uncertainty with so much increasing violence and weather that is displacing many it is so good to keep our eyes on the Saviour of our soul,for he never changes he’s the same yesterday-today-and forever! (Hebrews 13:8).
God is the stability for our life,his sure mercies never fail. “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.They are new every morning:great is thy faithfulness.The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him it is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord”.(Lamentations 3:22-26).
Abraham and Sarah knew first hand the faithfulness of God when they were blessed with a child in old age! (Genesis 17:17-19) Then Abraham fell upon his face,and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear? And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee! And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed;and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.
It doesn’t take long when one comes to the Lord that He shows forth His marvellous works which only He can do, and by showing Himself strong in the behalf of His people we come to know just how faithful He is to His children. If we do foolishly though it will bring forth war for us just as Asa found out when he did not completely rely on the Lord as he should have (2 Chronicles 16:9) For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect towards him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.
