Does God Reward Our Choices in this life?

Are we really rewarded for doing good or evil?   Are there blessings and curses in the earth?

Are we really rewarded for our choices of good or evil? (Isaiah 3:10)  Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.  Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.

                          REWARD FOR GOOD

The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance:he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked. So that a man shall say, verily there is a reward for the righteous:verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth (Psalm 58:10,11).

The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness:according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me (2 Samuel 22:21).

                                   REWARD FOR EVIL

Fret not thyself because of evil men, neither be thou envious at the wicked; For there shall be no reward to the evil man;the candle of the wicked shall be put out (Proverbs 24:19,20).

For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers:but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil (1 Peter 3:12).

Even in todays world there are many who do not believe there are blessings and curses in this life, but scripture teaches us there are both present. Since the garden of Eden mans free will has brought both to the earth as Adam and Eve made the choice to eat from the tree of good and evil, and not of the tree of life!

If we search for God with our whole heart, we will find Him (Jeremiah 29:11-13). When we live our life in light of the knowledge of God, our life will show it before others! It  is by faith we serve God, and He rewards those who seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6) But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Deuteronomy 28:1-19

    • I’m sure as a christian we experience that alot, but must remember God is on the throne and in His time fights the battles we grow so weary of. Psalm 37 always gives me strength, and I pray it will for you as well. Blessings.

      • Don’t be too hard on yourself! Yes God is judge of all the earth but we are expected to judge even ourselves righteously so we are in line with serving God. (Zechariah 7:9) Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother.
        Stay Strong.

  1. Rewards and judgment come from His righteousness, it cannot be otherwise. The same righteousness that rewards the faithful doer is the very same righteousness that must judge evil.

    Blessings
