The very first mention in scripture of God making a covenant with man was the one He made with Noah just before He had brought a flood upon the earth which would destroy all life of man and beast, yet by instruction of how to build an ark was Noah and his family along with by sevens the clean beasts and by two the unclean entered the ark. (Genesis 6:17-18….. 7:1,2).  And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die. But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives with thee.  And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.

Even though man has taken the beautiful rainbow for the symbol of the LGBTQ banner for what God has called an abomination (Romans 1:26-28), it does not change the sacred covenant God has made with man to never take the earth by flood again. His covenant is Holy and Pure, not defiled by the sin of man’s choice.

The second person God established His covenant with was one who we are known as the children of his seed, and that is Abraham and this covenant was an everlasting covenant! (Genesis 17:5-8) Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.

It was through the seed of Abraham that Our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ (Yahshua) was born! We are the people who serve the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob/Israel and the promise made to Abraham are also the promises God has made to us. (Galatians 3:26-29). If we seek God with all our heart and soul we find that in the end times known as the latter days God will not destroy nor forsake us, nor forget the covenant He had made with our fathers. He truly is faithful who promised! (Deuteronomy 4:29-31) But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul. When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the Lord thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice; (For the Lord thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.

The ultimate covenant God has made with His people is now written on our heart’s and minds! (Hebrews 8:10-13) For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
