Inspiration

Out of all that man can do, it is only God who by His Holy Spirit give man divine inspiration. ( 2 Peter 1:20,21 ) Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake [as they were] moved by the Holy Spirit.

By the Holy Spirit man is guided and instructed in righteousness, and even as a small child a true christian knows what is of God and are wise through the faith found only in Christ. The passage “ Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise” shows us the young have knowledge only given by God! ( 2 Timothy 3:14-17 ) But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned [them]; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Of all who speak the truth of God many seldom think children have any knowledge worth listening to, but this is not so with God who opens the mouth’s of the young to speak His wisdom which inspires! ( Matthew 21:15,16) And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David; they were sore displeased. And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?

We may think the passing of years would make one wise, but unless the spirit of the Almighty dwells within the aged remain without wisdom (Job 32:7-9) I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom. But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding. Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.
