Our Time On Earth

There was a time I would say what do people do that don’t have God in their life? But now the answer comes easy that they are most miserable, as a life does not work out without Him. Just as Jesus (Yahshua) had false accusers and enemies we too have the same, but now we have hope in our life in the land of the living. (Psalm 27:9-14)  Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.  When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up.  Teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.  Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.  I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

Life is so precious and fleeting even if we were to live to be a hundred years old, our days in Gods eyes are as a second lived! So many get caught up in the days activities and seldom slow down enough to consider their maker views us as a fleeting dust that appears for a very short time and is then gone. It’s like when we stand next to the ocean we then realize just how vast our God is compared to a problem we think is huge. Moses was a man of God and knew just how our life is as a tale that is told! ( Psalm 90:1-9) A Prayer of Moses the man of God. Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men. For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night. Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up. In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth. For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled. Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance. For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.

If we live and serve Christ now it is a surety we will have life eternal after we pass from this life, and are changed from being mortal to immortality and have no fear of death as Christ conquered it! (1 Corinthians 15:51-58). Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,  In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.  For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.  So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.  O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?  The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.  But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Gods timeline does not compare to ours as a thousand years in His eyes are only one day. (2 Peter 3:8). There is so much we can be thankful for in this life, and since Gods thoughts towards us are only for good we could never number all the blessing’s He has given any one of us. (Psalm 40:5). Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.
