We walk about this earth in Gods power, and not our own

Moses did not go in his own power when he went before Pharoah to tell him to let Gods people go, he was instructed by God what to say and what to do just as we too must wait for the Lord and be patient before going out to battle before unbeliever’s. It’s hard to believe the hardness of Pharoahs heart after ten plagues he would still not let Gods people go, and sadly men’s heart’s are just as unresponsive to the power of the living God! (Exodus Chapter’s 7-11).

When Jesus (Yahshua) appeared before the disciples He opened their understanding, and so it is today the Holy Spirit opens our understanding to the wisdom and infinite power of God! (Luke 24:45-49) Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things. And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

We see in the story of Gideon how he had twenty two thousand men for to go to battle against the Midians which was then reduced to ten thousand, But God told him his army has to be even smaller so that His power would show him that Gideon was not the one who won the battle against the Midians but that God did and so his army was reduced to three hundred! (Judges Chapter 7). Scripture plainly teaches us even though many may come against us, they will fall in due time for the wrong they come against us with! (Isaiah 54:15-17) Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake. Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.  No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

The former stories teaches us we do not go about this earth alone in our own power, but that God goes before us into any battle we encounter. When we truly are in the Lord we can bear much fruit for His kingdom, and remember He said we can do nothing without Him (John 15:1-5) I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

As believer’s in Christ we walk in His strength and not our own, and as the disciples so long ago when our Lord instructed them to wait for power from on high so do we with patience wait for the hand of God to move on our behalf. ( 2 Chronicles 16:9). Remember He is faithful that promised (Hebrews 10:23).

Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. (Romans 12:17-19).
