The Trials Of Life Refine Us

The brightest and most beautiful silver or gold are made only after the dross is removed and cleansed by firing it. The life of a Christian can be compared to such a process as we go through so many times of being tried, but are made the better for it. When going through trial’s scripture tells us that when our faith is tried we learn patience (James 1:2-5) My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Even the worst day we may have cannot compare to all Christ suffered! Therefore He alone understands all we go through in this life, and is worthy of our praise. He alone is a tried stone and the foundation of our faith (Isaiah 28:16) Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

When we suffer as a christian many times we go through a myriad of trials we would rather not endure, yet it proves the spirit of God rests upon us when we do good and suffer for it ( 1 Peter 4:12-17) Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters. Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
