The unseen army of God……

There are two worlds in existence right now, the here and now which is a temporal world and the other one God has always eternally existed. It is by His Holy Spirit do His people have hope and know in their weakest moments He will intercede on their behalf to comfort them (Romans 8:24-27) For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

When the servant of Elisha saw the army which surrounded him with many horses and chariot’s, Elisha then prayed to the Lord that they were not alone in the battle and that they had more in the spiritual realm fighting with them than what they were seeing before them. We too must remember we are not alone in the battles of this life, for heaven has an army that fights for us! ( 2 Kings 6:14-17) Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about. And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

When King Hez-e-ki’-ah knew king Sen-nach’-er-ib was on his way to fight against Judah he gathered together all his people and made them aware that no matter how many people were coming against them they would have no power as they were coming to fight with the arm of the flesh, but with them was more power as the Lord their God would help them fight their battle. (2 Chronicles 32:6-8) And he set captains of war over the people, and gathered them together to him in the street of the gate of the city, and spake comfortably to them, saying, Be strong and courageous, be not afraid nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude that is with him: for there be more with us than with him: With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the Lord our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.

For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars. ( 2 Chronicles 16:9).
