At times silence is the best defense

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. (Psalm 46:10).

It escapes people at times we should learn to be silent and allow God to do the talking. We may ask how can God step in and talk for us? It may not be in the audible voice we need to speak loudly on our behalf, but if we do our part in doing what we can to make a change for the better, then He alone has the ability to move the mountains in our life by the faith we hold in Him. We must realize God moves on behalf of His people whose heart is perfect towards Him and that do His will (2 Chronicles 16:9), and when we learn to be still and know God has the power to change things you will be amazed at what He can and will do! (Psalm 46:8-11)  Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth. He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire. Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

Prayer is truly a silence God knows as we come before Him for He knows the thought’s and intent’s of our heart! Our Lord even teaches us it is not the many words we speak that we are heard as the following passages tell us (Matthew 6:5-7) And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. (Hebrews 4:12,13).

The one who understands all we go through in this life, with the false accusations and the lies people fight against us with, we must know if we are in Christ there are times silence is the best defense (Psalm 38:12-22) They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long. But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth. Thus I was as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs For in thee, O LORD, do I hope:thou wilt hear, O Lord my God. For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me. For I am ready to halt, and my sorrow is continually before me. For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin. But mine enemies are lively, and they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied. They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is. Forsake me not, O LORD: O my God, be not far from me. Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation.
