The Walk Of Our Lord Part 2

The previous writing allowed us to see how a life which walks with the Lord is not parallel with the worlds walk. After all we are called out of the world, yet some are still walking in their old ways and have returned unto the bondage Christ has set them free from. We are instructed to not look back, but to look forward and press towards the goal of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus (Yahshua) (Philippians 3:13-20)

God see’s us telling others about Him and many times our words fall to the ground and not within the ear of the one we are speaking to. We must remember He has told us this would happen when we walk with Him, as His words went unheard as well. Keep in mind if we speak His word it is not us they are rejecting, but the one who has sent us! (John 15:19,20) If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

We have a very good lesson given when Israel demanded Samuel to set a king over them, as God Himself tells Samuel it is not him they are rejecting but God Himself! Just as people are not rejecting us, but the message we are given to say (1 Samuel 8:4-8) Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, and came to Samuel unto Ramah, And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations. But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the LORD. And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them. According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have forsaken me, and served other gods, so do they also unto thee.

Our Lord told His disciples of how He was no longer going to be physically with them and would send His holy spirit that would continue to teach and guide them. The walk of the Lord will cause us to be misunderstood and rejected, and we as christian gladly endure as our Lord did as well. We are to stay the course and fight the good fight of faith, and know Jesus (Yahshua) has prayed to our Father that we have heard His word and have not rejected it. (John 17:6-20).

May we continue to walk with the Lord as His son’s and daughter’s and as asked to BE YE SEPARATE and unspotted from the world that is set only on destruction to those who choose the wide path and not the narrow path that leads to life! ( 2 Corinthians 6:14-18) Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
