The Tree of Life

In this day and age man has come up with many medicines to heal maladies, but unfortunately healing seldom happens and the medicine only covers up the symptom’s of diseases. Praise God there will be a time when the healing of the nations will be a reality! (Revelation 22:1,2) And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

We find tree of life has been since the garden of Eden, and it represents the wisdom of good and evil in which man is to partake of throughout life (Proverbs 3:13-18) Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.

The paradise of God is a place reserved for those who have overcome many trials and tribulations throughout their lives, and it is by the word of their testimony and the blood of the Lamb are they overcomers! (Revelation 2:7) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

We may ask just who are the ones that will be blessed enough to partake of the tree of life, and does scripture tell us who they are? Fortunately we find the answer in Revelation of not only who will be able to enjoy this beautiful tree that will heal the nations, but also who will not be there (Revelation 22:14,15) Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. (John 14:15).

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. (Psalm 1:1-3).
