The meek and humble of the earth

Moses was a strong and courageous man and was the one who led the Israelites out of Egypt, yet many do not know he was a very meek man who was guided by the hand of God. (Numbers 12:3) (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth).

A lot of people overlook those who are different and quiet in the land, as they are the meek and introverted. They are seldom seen for who they truly are, and are overlooked according to societies standards. Sadly they are the overpowered in the earth, and are the most misunderstood. Yet in Gods eyes He most certainly knows them, and it is the meek He teaches His ways to. ( Psalm 25:9) The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.

When the Lord overturned the moneychangers in the temple, I’m sure those present did not see Him as the Son of God, after all how could the Son of God do such a thing? Did you know the Lord was known as a meek man, and was guided by His Fathers will (Matthew 11:28-30) Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

The meek of the Lord are not all dressed to the nines, nor is having their hair just so most important to them. It is not the outward appearance at all, it is the quiet spirit within that is of greater value! (1 Peter 3:1-4) Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear. Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

Our Lord was sent to this earth to preach good tidings unto the meek (Isaiah 61:1) and as the book of Isaiah foretold of His message, we find He delivered the same message many generations later as read in Luke 4:18 (Isaiah 61:1) The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. (Matthew 5:5).
