Words you do not want to hear

How many in the name of religion continue to do opposite of what is right, sadly such a person will hear words from the Lord they never thought they would hear Him say “Get away from me I never knew you who work iniquity” (Matthew 7:17-23). Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

By the previous statement of our Lord we need to learn what iniquity is so that we may never hear those words spoken to us, and to ensure we are not living away from God!

Websters defines iniquity as: Gross injustice, To deliberately choose to harm others, Wickedness, Evil actions and sin, To intentionally choose to disobey Gods righteousness.

Without true and genuine repentance one is then choosing to stay in their sin, and by doing so they are forfeiting their chance to inherit heaven. Many hide behind the skirts of the church, thinking as long as they give God an hour a week they are good to go, But that does not cleanse them of the ungodly acts they return to at their jobs or in life. To ensure we do not hear the words “Get away from me I never knew you who work iniquity” now is the time to change our ways before it’s too late (Psalm 32:1-7) A Psalm of David, Maschil Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile. When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long. For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah. I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah. For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him. Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.

The fear of the Lord is lacking in the world today, as some even think they are on the throne of God the way they rule over others. God is not blind and knows the thoughts and heart’s of all people. (Proverbs 16:4-6) The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil. Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished. By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.

It is joy to the just to do judgment: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity. The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead. (Proverbs 21:15,16).
