Man’s power vs God’s power

Man has long believed he has the ability to rule and be in power, and it all began in the garden of Eden. When satan told Eve it was alright to eat of the tree that God had said not to or even touch it lest they would die, she listened to the lie of satan instead believing her and Adam would be as gods (Genesis 3:1-6) Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

It was Phar-oahs hardened heart that made him think he had more power than God, we see his magicians, sorcerers and enchantment’s had no power. When Moses and Aaron cast down their rod’s against Phar-oah which became serpent’s it was Aarons rod that devoured Phar-oahs. Even when ten plagues were sent after Phar-oah he still thought he had more power than God! (Exodus 7:8-14) And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, Shew a miracle for you: then thou shalt say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall become a serpent. And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent. Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments. For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods. And he hardened Pharaoh’s heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.

Sadly to this day people have not changed when it comes to overpowering and accusing innocent people of things they have not done, or they will exaggerate something a person has done to control them. People like this have no fear of God whatsoever, and we see when Pilate thought he had the power to send Jesus (Yahshua) to be crucified our Lord told him it was God who had the power! (John 19:5-11) Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man! When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him. The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God. When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he was the more afraid; And went again into the judgment hall, and saith unto Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer. Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee? Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.

And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. ( 1 Corinthians 2:4,5).

  1. Thank you for sharing these insights. They serve as a powerful reminder of the importance of aligning ourselves with divine truth rather than seeking to assert our own authority.
